Amir Khan has revealed he spent £100,000 on his daughter Lamaisah's second birthday party.
The boxer, 29, and his wife Faryal Makhdoom Khan, 24, took three months to plan the celebratory bash at the home of Amir's beloved Bolton Wanderers football club.
Some 250 guests were invited to the party which included Disney princesses, Peppa Pig, a real-life ballerina, a carousel and a giant cake.
Speaking about the special day Amir told Hello! magazine: "When I walked in, the first thing I said was, 'Wow!' My wife did an amazing job.
"I was busy training when she was planning this, but every day I was getting crazy bills and thinking, 'What'
"Every penny spent on my daughter is worth it, though. After all, all this hard work I do is for her, for my kid."
Mrs Khan said: "I wanted it to be something really grand. Now I'm not doing anything until she's 16."
She also revealed that parenthood has changed her husband who she said puts his family first.
"I've never seen this side of him,” she told the magazine. “He comes home early - before he used to be out with his friends. But now he's just like, 'My wife, my child and home'.
"I have to say to him, 'Can you please go out!' It's great for him and for us. He's changed, being a father, and I've changed being a mother. My life is all about my kid."
Mrs Khan – who married the Olympic medallist in 2013 – said she has finally adjusted to life in the UK after relocating from New York.
