Has the world already met the next big MC? According to his Tomorrowland    costars, George Clooney can drop a verse.

The star of the upcoming Disney film admitted to rapping between takes on set during a Friday press conference for the film in Beverly Hills, California. Clooney's director Brad Bird goaded the Oscar-winning actor into admitting his secret skills during the interview.

"They're well known," Clooney said. "In fact, many of the great rappers today have fashioned their stylings from me."

The artists in question? A pioneering '70s hip hop group.

"I was 18 when Sugarhill Gang hit the scene. It's funny because I'm literally at the actual oldest age of anybody that knows those songs," said Clooney. "But I do still sing them every once in a while to entertain the troops."

The 54-year-old, who Bird called "Grandmaster G," said he uses his musical skill set when filming long scenes, but his lyrical rhymes aren't always appreciated.

"They think 'Gosh. We're in the water. It's cold. We're shooting 14 hours. We've been out all night. It's terrible. What could be worse?' And then I rap," he joked.

However, Clooney declined to show off his rhyming skills in front of reporters.
