Worldwide Prince William And Prince Harry Have A Step-Sibling No One Knew About Until Now

There are some people who are so famous that people recognize them no matter where they live in the world. Regardless of how you feel about the British Royal family, we are sure you know Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. Even though they get a lot of press time, the truth is that we do not know them at all. For one thing, not many people know that Prince William and Prince Harry have a stepsister! It all began when Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer got married in 1981. Even though it sounded like a fairy tale, there was something boiling underneath the surface…

Someone Else

Even though the couple exchanged vows and tied the knot, Prince Charles was not the Prince Charming she had been looking for. It turned out that his heart already belonged to a different woman

Called It  suits

You see, Prince Charles first met Camilla Parker Bowles in 1971. They got into a relationship but abruptly called it quits after several years together. They got on with their own lives and got married to other people. However, there are some fires that you just cannot put out.

No Sulking

“There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded,” Princess Diana explained to the BBC in 1995. Even though it was awkward, she did not sulk and moan. No, she chose to do the exact opposite!

Princess Of Wales

Diana decided to embrace her position as the Princess of Wales instead! She brought a new spark to the family by immersing herself in charity work. She went on to be a pop cultural icon, but that was not all.

Doting Mother

She also made a name for herself by changing the way royal children were raised. She did not pass her kids off to relatives or nannies. No, Diana made sure to schedule her time around her sons! As much as possible, she included them in events and even took them to school herself.

Breaking Up

By the mid ‘90s, the Royal Family had been on the verge of crumbling. Charles and Diana split up before eventually getting a divorce. It was not a good look for them, but this was not the worst of it.

A Tragic Death

The car Diana was riding crashed into a pillar in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris on August 31, 1997. She was being pursued by the press at the time. Sadly, she died of internal injuries not long after.

Everyone Heard

Everyone was stunned to hear the news. Mourners started to pour into London and began to pay tribute to her. There were so many flowers outside her house that they could have been mistaken for a carpet!

Moving On

There was a huge outpouring of grief. When the public funeral was over, the Royal Family had to go on with their lives. However, what Charles did next shocked everyone who heard about it. What did he do?

Getting Back Together

In 2005, it came to light that Charles and Camilla were reconciling. They were not only dating again… No, they planned to get married as well! This means that William and Harry would get a new stepmother

A New Start

The public had been skeptical of someone replacing Diana. It was a different matter for the Royal family, but they managed to pull together. It was easy to see that Charles was happy in this new relationship, which then made Harry and William happy. Camilla definitely helped the family However, she was not the only one to join the family.

Not Only Camilla

Everyone had been focused on her joining the British Royal Family and failed to realize that she had two kids from her first marriage. One eventually stepped into the spotlight, but the other one stayed back.

Tom Parker Bowles

Her son Tom Parker Bowles is a famous food critic and writer. He has released a number of books, starred on Masterchef, and worked on Gordan Ramsay’s The F-Word. His sister is not quite as open.

Laura Lopes

Laura Lopes, Camilla’s daughter, tried her best to stay out of the spotlight. Even though she has been seen at Royal Weddings and certain occasions, she has a reason to remain in the shadows. What gives?

Just Kids

The siblings had only been kids when Prince Charles married Diana. As the children of his former lover, they had to constantly deal with the paparazzi even back then. It took a toll on both Laura and Tom.

The Pap

The paparazzi would wait outside their house in the hopes of catching sight of the Parker Bowles family. They would follow their car through the streets, which is fairly reminiscent of the way Diana died a couple of years later. It soon got on their nerves.

Dealing With Bullies

“They’re bullies, half of these people, and they made you very angry,” Tom said when he talked to the Mail. “All I wanted to do was smack them in the face and beat the hell out of them. But you couldn’t do that.” Laura decided to deal with it in another manner.

Avoiding Attention

Her childhood experience led Laura to withdraw from the spotlight instead of enjoying the spotlight. However, did it mean that she has also kept the Royal Family at a distance? Read on to find out💰

Won Them Over

After marrying Charles, Camilla said that she could not have gotten to that point if it were not for her family. While the paparazzi hounded her and tabloids dragged her, she still managed to win them over. Even at a distance, it seems like blood is still thicker than water.

True Nature

It is nothing new for people to speculate about the “true” nature of royal relationships. For some time now, the grapevine has been talking about the tension between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. Ever since the latter joined the Royal Family, folks have been saying that there is friction between them!

AstraZeneca shots should be halted for over-60s too - EMA official

Countries should also avoid giving the Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine to people over 60, the head of the EU drug regulator's COVID-19 task force was quoted on Sunday as saying, amid fears over rare blood clotting and as more vaccines become available.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) considers the Astrazeneca shot safe for all age groups. However several European Union member states have stopped administering it to people below a certain age, usually ranging from 50 to 65, restricting its use to the older population, due to the rare cases of blood clotting, mainly among young people.

"In a pandemic context, our position was and is that the risk-benefit ratio remains favourable for all age groups," COVID-19 task force chief Marco Cavaleri told the Italian newspaper La Stampa.

However, as the number of COVID-19 cases is falling and taking into account that the younger population is less exposed to COVID-19 related risks, Cavaleri said it would be better to use on them COVID-19 vaccines based on messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, such as Moderna and the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.

Asked whether health authorities should avoid giving the Astrazeneca vaccine to people aged over 60, Cavaleri said: "Yes, and many countries, such as France and Germany, are considering it in the light of greater availability of mRNA vaccines."

The Italian government said on Friday it would restrict the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine to people aged over 60, after a teenager who had received the shot died from a rare form of blood clotting. read more

Like many European countries, Italy briefly halted AstraZeneca inoculations in March over concerns about the rare blood clotting problems.

It resumed them the following month with the recommendation that the product be "preferably" used for people over the age of 60, after the EMA said its benefits outweighed any risks.

Protesters carried placards deploring Bill Gates statement, and favoring patent free access to vaccine and medicines

New Delhi, May 7

RSS affiliated Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) organized an online and offline protest against Bill Gates and Melinda Gates Foundation in the National Capital on Friday.

This comes after their statement of "not being in favor of sharing vaccine formula with India and other developing countries".

SJM said that "at a time when the whole humanity is reeling under century's worst pandemic, and when there is an acute shortage of essential medicines, and vaccination is considered to be the only option for safeguarding the large populations, such kind of attempts to block equitable access to vaccines and medicines are not just deplorable, are also against the humanity".

"Though developed countries, which were also trying to block IPR waiver for Covid 19 vaccines and medicines, have amended their stance and have announced support to India and South Africa’s proposal in WTO, the stance of MNCs and their representative Bill Gates is far from being positive.

"They are making all-out efforts to maximize their profits by exploiting the worst situation faced by humanity, especially developing and poor countries. It may be noted that India’s proposal has the support of 100 countries," it added

Protesters carried placards deploring Bill Gates statement, and favoring patent free access to vaccine and medicines.

Those who attended included R Sundaram, National Convener, Ashwani Mahajan, National Co-Convener, Kashmiri Lal, National Organizer, Satish Kumar, National Co-Organizer, Kamal Jit National Joint Public Relation IN charge and Vikash Chaudhary Convener Delhi, SJM.

Prince Harry and Meghan announce birth of baby girl

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl.

Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Both mother and child are healthy and well, the couple said in a statement.

Buckingham Palace said: "The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news."

Prince Harry and Meghan said they named their second child Lilibet after the Royal Family's nickname for the Queen, the baby's great-grandmother.

Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her "beloved late grandmother", the Princess of Wales, the statement said.

Lilibet was born at 11:40am local time, weighed 7 lbs 11oz and is now "settling in at home".

She is the Queen's 11th great-grandchild and is eighth in line to the throne. It means Prince Andrew, who was born as second in line in 1960, moves down to ninth place.

In a message of thanks on the couple's Archewell website, they said: "On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.

"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe.

"Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."

The message adds that anyone wishing to send gifts is asked to "support or learn more about" organisations working for women and girls.

They have not released any photos of their daughter.

The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry's father, and the Duchess of Cornwall tweeted: "Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie on the arrival of baby Lilibet Diana. Wishing them all well at this special time."

And the Duke of Duchess and Cambridge said: "We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili."

Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent his "many congratulations" to the couple and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the "wonderful news".

Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, met on a blind date and married in May 2018 in a ceremony at Windsor Castle. They welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, a year later.

Meghan's friend, Misan Harriman, who took black-and-white photographs of the couple for their pregnancy announcement, tweeted his congratulations: "Lilibet has arrived! Congratulations to my brave friend and her lovely family!"

Prince Harry has publicly reflected on his approach to parenthood recently, saying he wanted to "break the cycle" of the "pain and suffering" of his upbringing with his own children.

He and Meghan quit their roles as senior working royals in March 2020. Speaking last month, the duke said moving to the US had not been part of the plan, but he felt he had to put his family and mental health first.

As a result of the move, Lilibet is the most senior royal in the current line of succession to be born overseas and she would be eligible to become president of the United States.

But like her older brother Archie, who was not entitled to a royal title when he was born, Lilibet would not be allowed to be a princess nor an HRH until the Queen dies and Prince Charles becomes king, under rules set down more than 100 years ago.

Why Lilibet?

Lilibet - the Queen's family nickname - was coined when then-Princess Elizabeth was just a toddler and couldn't pronounce her name properly.

Her grandfather, King George V, would affectionately call her Lilibet, imitating her own attempts to say her name. It soon stuck and she became Lilibet to her family from then on.

The Queen's late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, also called her by the nickname, and wrote to his mother-in-law after their wedding: "Lilibet is the only 'thing' in the world which is absolutely real to me."

Baby Lili's middle name, Diana, is in tribute to Prince Harry's later mother Diana, who died in a car crash in 1997 when he was 12 years old.

Lili's cousin, Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Catherine, also has Diana as one of her middle names, as well as Elizabeth.

Duncan Larcombe, former royal editor at the Sun, said he thought the name was "the most royal name you could give".

"There's no doubt that the choice of name for Harry and Meghan's first daughter is the first significant - possibly the only - olive branch that the Sussexes as a couple have offered to the British Royal Family since... they walked away from the family," he told the BBC.

2px presentational grey lineIn November, Meghan revealed she had a miscarriage several months earlier, writing about her "almost unbearable grief" in a deeply personal article for the New York Times.

In the piece, she said "despite the staggering commonality of [miscarriages], the conversation remains taboo, riddled with (unwarranted) shame" and went on to commend those who "bravely shared their stories", saying: "When one person speaks truth, it gives license for all of us to do the same."

"I was busy training when she was planning this, but every day I was getting crazy bills and thinking, 'What'

"Every penny spent on my daughter is worth it, though. After all, all this hard work I do is for her, for my kid."

Mrs Khan said: "I wanted it to be something really grand. Now I'm not doing anything until she's 16."

She also revealed that parenthood has changed her husband who she said puts his family first.

"I've never seen this side of him,” she told the magazine. “He comes home early - before he used to be out with his friends. But now he's just like, 'My wife, my child and home'.

"I have to say to him, 'Can you please go out!' It's great for him and for us. He's changed, being a father, and I've changed being a mother. My life is all about my kid."

Mrs Khan – who married the Olympic medallist in 2013 – said she has finally adjusted to life in the UK after relocating from New York.
